Stories with a Special Taste – Coffee Dragon Paintings by Tammie Wales

By Wednesday, February 8, 2017 0 No tags Permalink 7

Total coffee addict and a self-taught artist from Alaska, Tammie Wales (previously), created another stunning series of paintings. She paints each piece using solely 100% real coffee. These totally tasty Coffee Dragon Paintings show us one interesting fact.  Dragons can be fierce, and smell nice at the same time. If you find Tammie’s technique familiar, it is because it behaves as watercolors due to its consistency. This fluidity in style gives talented Tammie freedom she needs while envisioning her fairy tale pieces. All of these paintings are inspired by her favorite childhood stories depicting surreal worlds filled with these fantastic creatures.  Enjoy this cup of art!

I choose dragons because I’ve always made dragons in my art over the years. Dragons have always been among my most favorite things in stories and movies. I look forward to producing many more coffee dragons.

Coffee is my sole medium of choice at the moment. Painting with it is fun and unique. Coffee showcases endless potentials for details, styles and themes and the art smells really great too!

Next I’m preparing a series of pirates for my next coffee art set. These will be sold at the Rusty Scuppers Pirate Daze in the spring in Washington state.
