If you look at the night sky you will probably see bunch of stars on a clear day. And we are all used to that, right? But what we are unable to see is milions upon milions new stars forming as we speak. Same goes with ideas. We are generating something new every single day, whether we know it or not. But those of us with artistic gift seam to have something extra. Furthermore, having an ability to peek trough the curtain of the unnimaginable and share that vision with the rest of the world can be such a blessign. Today I am excited to share with you guys such instance. Digital Art that you can see has been created by Jessica Andersdotter.
Pixel sorting she does using various sofware (Adobe After Effects being one of her favorites) helps her create these wonderful universes. Often you will able to discern shapes such as rain, clouds, skyscrapers and stars. Let us watch together as these images became nebulas dripping with colours and emotion.
My biggest source of inspiration is probably the internet. I spend a lot of time on it, and find new beautiful things every day. There are so many magnificent things online, and I think it’s wonderful that it’s so easy share creations with people around the world.
Other than that I’m really inspired by nature and space, mostly space probably. My favourite creations are the ones that look kind of like nebulas and I always try to add a few stars to the images to get that spacelike feel to them.
I only found pixel sorting recently and I think it’s so much fun. It’s a very intuitive way of creating to me and it’s really liberating. I’ve been working a lot with photography and photo manipulations earlier, so working digitally is really my thing and this feels like taking it to a new level.
Jessica’s Digital Art of the future?!
Excited about Jessicas plans for next breathtaking piece as I am? Here is a sneak peek:
I will keep creating more abstract art and will try using pixel sorting in different ways to achieve new results. All I want is to keep trying new things and never stop learning about art making in general. I will also be part of a glitch art exhibition in Asheville, NC called #AVLGLITCH which will open October 1st.
You can find more information about it here.
