“Don’t judge a book by its cover” has never been more wrong then in case of young, talented artist and jewelry designer Aniko Kolesnikova, better know as Mandarin Duck. Her fantasy book covers will take you on a great journey through vast amounts of beautiful details embedded into levels upon levels of polymer clay. Most of her art is nature inspired so on many of these cover designs you will be able to see some sort of animal scene. These inspirational scenes manage to capture subtle essence of animal spirits in one single frame. Sitting there for all eternity, and for us to witness.
What inspires me the most is Nature, Culture and a combination of a thousands of things I see daily on Instagram and pinterest 🙂
I use my speciffic techniques because I have developed them through the years and I feel that I am good at them. So whatever the artist is good at, he is obliged to use 🙂 My techniques work well in order to show what I need to show to the viewer. I use different techniques depending on what I want to show or say.
Can I have one of these amazing Fantasy Book Covers?
The answer is yes, absolutely. Aniko dedicated a lot of her time in order to help you guys create some amazing artwork yourself. Due to her hard work, today you are able to browse trough number of tutorials she created on You Tube. She does her best to teach people how to create art and don’t spend tons of money doing it. If you always wanted to try working with polymer clay and develop new skills then you should definitely check couple of her videos. For detailed explainitions and materials you can check her Etsy.
Basically I teach people to gift love to other people and I think it’s great! I know you can do it. Just believe… and walk. Walk every day in that sacred direction. Through falling, through pain and tears, through happy moments of success, through sadness and pain and through appreciation or rejection… Just walk.. and you will get there. I promise.
