We all love and love to hate gadgets. PCs, smart phones and whatever are awesome technological achievements which helped humans to learn faster, to know more, to do more and do it. There are a lot of industrial designers who do great work, and some of those high tech doohickeys look marvels. But don’t you think they miss something? Some je ne sais quoi? Maybe your computer could be more fitting if you could just make it match with your antic furniture. Look no more. Good people at Datamancer Enterprises got you covered. Just marvel at this computer master piece.
Datamancer Enterprises is type of small business which I really love. Creating something with high quality which looks amazing as well. Every piece is a work of art. I sound like commercial but I am genuine here. Anyone with eyes will have to agree with me.
Something like this in your room would give that sense of wonder we all lack in modern society. It’s all about work and routine, sitting and looking at your computer all day. Now you can lay your eyes upon this unique creations and feel the history. Anachronistic history, but that is the best kind. Wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey.
We could say a lot about this works of art but words are just not enough. I have a secret love affair with all “punk” genres of aesthetics. From cyberpunk (notable example Blade Runner) to steampunk (Wild Wild West) to dieselpunk (Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow). This movies are not especially good, well Blade Runner is exception there, but they have such unique styles and aesthetics that they got stuck in my head. Bringing past eras in to semi modern set of mind is what they do best. And now you can have same thing in your office or living room … or wherever you keep your computer.
Does something mundane like computer deserves such attention?
Why the heck not? Art is subjective, sometimes ephemeral, and sometimes eternal. You can’t really put general description on what art can or cannot do. And if electronics are here to stay, why not use them and make them more beautiful. Even bring wisdom of the ages upon them. Make them our windows in the worlds of our making. And if they are just fancy computer peripherals, who’s to say they are not future objects in museum after nuclear apocalypse. My mind wondered there for a bit, but it can happen in the presence of this beauties.
