Have you ever heard of Pokemon Gijinka? No? And you call yourself a Pokemon lover..Pokemon, like every other popular animated show has a lot of fan art, in all kind od different forms, posted about it online every single day. Pokemon Gijinka is just one of them. This interesting art form rev0lves around having cute little Pokemon transformed into cool human forms. How awesome, right? These Gijinka’s you see before you are created by the incredibly talented South Korean artist, and illustrator called Tamtamdi. It usually takes up to one hour to create one of these illustrations, and Tamtamdi created over 250 already. And keeps going! So if you ever wondered how some pokemon would look like in human form, now’s your chance.
“The most important thing I care when I do the gijinka is capturing the first impression of the pokemon, and then the silhouette and the gesture!”
I don’t re-draw pokemon that i finished. It’s simply I know myself, and If I start changing all the gijinkas just because I have a better idea I will never be able to finish till the end. But I might make a rough fan book or something and in that book I will change some of the gijinkas.
My pokemon’s gijinka are not necessary evolving to one-another. I thought of drawing them as one Pokemon evolving, but it just takes out lots of fun. So some of them are one pokemon evolving, and some aren’t!
(I think of them as same race, but different individual)
Thinking about cosplaying these gorgeous Pokemon Gijinka yet?
Well, think no more. Tamtamdi is more than welcoming when it comes to her designs. However, there are couple of conditions to have in mind. First one is that, when you post it online, always put her name and her tumblr address with it and make sure to mention that the design is created by Tamtamdi. Second one is to send her the link or image of your cosplay as she is eager to see each end every one of them. I don’t know about you, but I believe this Snorlax would suit me well:)
