The Hunt is a ten piece art series of abstract animal skulls. It is inspired by the well-known Rorschach inkblot test. Chris Corridore, Canadian artist and storyteller created this series by using abstract shapes laid out in random patterns to resemble the animal skulls. The shapes consist of various patterned and textured brushes that have been digitally manipulated and altered. Can you recognize which animal skull is on each of these amazing pieces?
I would say my favourite thing about myself is my taste, I have a love for craftsmanship and quality and innovation. It gives me life fam.
Creating story through characters is something that I like. Sometimes I am influenced by the people around me, but equally from characters that left an impression on me in movies, comics, and video games.
I use digital painting as my medium because it allows me to manipulate my ideas that traditional ways can’t. I am a product of the digital age and I try to take full advantage of that.
Expanding my storytelling capabilities is something I am currently working on. I am starting a followup series to “The Hunt” called “The Dive” which focuses on water animals. I am also exploring new concepts for my portrait work.
